The Commission for Communications Regulation (ComReg) is setting up an SMS Sender ID Registry to identify legitimate organizations in order to help cut down on text message scams. The SMS Sender ID Registry is designed to help protect the Short Message Service (SMS) as a reliable and trustworthy communications channel.
Effective July 3rd 2025, business names and brands that are not on the registry will have their text messages to customers labelled as “Likely Scam”. After October 3rd 2025, messages from unregistered Sender IDs will be blocked.
To register a Sender ID, a signed LOA and completed Sender ID Information Form must be submitted.
How to submit a Sender ID Information Form
To get started, fill out the required fields according to the descriptions below in the Sender ID Information Form, and include the completed form with a signed LOA in a support ticket request. We will then submit these forms to the international carrier hub.
Note, the OrgType, AddressCountry, and RegisteredAddressCountry must be selected from the drop-down list provided in the column on the form.
